Susan Dee Owens MS OTR/L
Susan received her professional practice degree from Eastern Michigan University and her Master’s degree from the University of Michigan. She is an Occupational Therapist with more than 40 years’ experience. She is currently a full-time faculty member in the Occupational Therapy program at Davenport University. Previously Susan was Special Education Supervisor in the Michigan and Indiana school systems for more than 15 years. In addition to working with children with special needs in the educational system, she has worked in hospitals where she held the positions of Director of Occupational Therapy and Director of Rehabilitation Services. Susan has been an adjunct faculty member of Grand Valley State University, where she taught a program for enhancing learning through applied brain research and neuroanatomy. She was also a professor at Eastern Michigan and Wayne State Universities over a 15-year timeframe. Susan was licensed as a Brain Gym® Instructor in 2004 and has taught Brain Gym® extensively since that time. She currently travels throughout the country and teaches Brain Gym® to educators, health care professionals and parents.
