I first discovered Brain Gym in 1993, I was looking for effective techniques to support my children's learning while also searching for ways to support the parents in my parenting program (and me!) to learn new more effective parenting skills.
I still remember my absolute amazement that something so simple could make such profound changes. It was the missing link I was looking for and I committed then and there, before I had even completed Brain Gym 104, to become an Instructor and share this professionally.
I achieved that dream in 1996 and since then the philosophy of Brain Gym and Educational Kinesiology has infused my clinical practice.
Over the years, in addition to using its simple techniques with my clients, I have taught thousands these simple techniques through in-services, workshops and Brain Gym certified curriculum.
My focus in the 90's and early 2000's was in the Social Sciences area and, in addition to doing extensive work with kids 'at risk' and in residential care, I went on to complete my Bachelor of Social Science (with the help of Brain Gym!).
These days my focus has altered a little to supporting my clients (professionals, many of whom are parents as well) to unlock their own potential, find their own inner leadership and create the life they love living.
I love this work, I love the ease of it and the way it opens a space for movement which, as Paul Dennison says, is the key to learning. I absolutley agree, quoting Dr Dennison, that Brain Gym truly is the antidote to the 21st century!
In addition to my Brisbane and Tenterfield clinics I work online - please do feel free to contact me to discuss how I might help you to step into your own best version of your self.
