Christie McLean graduated with highest honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Stephen F. Austin University. She was the Highest Ranking Senior of the University in her graduation year. She earned a Tutor 1 certification from the College Reading and Learning Association and has been tutoring and teaching for over 20 years. She has extended her teacher training and passed state tests for a generalist teacher in grades pre-k- through 8 and ESL. She has certifications in TEFL and TESOL and has taught English as a second language to Chinese students for three years. Christie has helped English learners acquire necessary skills from many aspects of language arts, including grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, speaking, and test preparation. She enjoys teaching her students to love learning and to have fun while exploring different educational opportunities. Christie is thrilled to add Brain Gym to her other educational experience and expertise to help students reach their fullest potential with an individualized plan tailored specifically to the needs of each learner. She is a private tutor and teacher for all ages. She teaches many exciting subjects like Spanish, algebra, robotics, technology, and design in addition to math, science, ESL, and English language arts. Her hobbies include reading, walking with friends, and learning new skills and fascinating things about the world.
