"Body Mapping: Reshaping Your Stress Patterns Through Movement and Nervous System Awareness."

Nervous System Coach Fajardo Method Practitioner Founder, Prism Movement Studio 30+ Years of Experience

Amy Bonaduce-Gardner teaches people how stress lives in the body — and how body mapping can gently shift those patterns. Through movement, sensory awareness, and nervous system coaching, she opens a practical path toward greater regulation, resilience, and physical-emotional balance.

Where Movement Meets the Nervous System

Amy Bonaduce-Gardner is a nervous system coach, movement educator, and founder of Prism Movement Studio, where she teaches body mapping and the Fajardo Method of Holistic Biomechanics. Her work focuses on helping people understand how stress, trauma, pain, and repetitive movement patterns can shape the body's internal map — and how to update that map for greater ease, resilience, and health.

With more than 30 years of experience, Amy has worked with a remarkably diverse population: preschoolers, Olympic athletes, people navigating chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and anyone seeking to reconnect with their body after years of stress-driven patterning. Her training spans psychology, Pilates, dance, GYROKINESIS®, GYROTONIC®, corrective exercise, behavior change, and the Fajardo Method — a combination that gives her work its unique depth.

"Body mapping is a nervous-system-informed movement practice that helps the brain 'relearn' the body more accurately — so movement feels easier, clearer, and less effortful."

— Amy Bonaduce-Gardner

Amy's approach is grounded in a deceptively simple idea: the brain holds a map of the body, and that map can become outdated or distorted by chronic stress, injury, or trauma. By gathering fresh sensory information through focused movement and attention, the brain can update its map — shifting motor patterns, reducing holding responses, and supporting healthier nervous system regulation.

For educators, movement practitioners, and parents, Amy's work offers a framework that bridges the gap between what we know about stress and the nervous system and what we can actually do about it — in the body, right now, with tools that are simple, accessible, and profound.

What Is Body Mapping?

Body mapping is the practice of consciously gathering current sensory information about specific parts of the body so the brain can update its internal map. The Fajardo Method begins from the understanding that if this map is vague, outdated, or shaped by pain and trauma, movement becomes less efficient and more stressful.

Using focused attention, proprioception, and gentle movement, body mapping brings more accurate information from the body back to the brain — supporting new motor patterns and, ultimately, a more adaptive autonomic nervous system.

The goal isn't just better alignment. It's a more flexible, responsive nervous system — one that can move out of chronic stress-driven organization and toward greater ease.

The Body as a Learning Environment

For those working in educational kinesiology, movement-based learning, and neurodevelopment, Amy's framework speaks a familiar language: the body is not separate from the mind. How we move shapes how we think, feel, and learn.

Brain Gym® program practitioners, movement educators, and parents will recognize in Amy's approach the same conviction that animates their own work — that the body is an entry point for lasting change, and that sensory input matters for learning at every age.

What Amy offers is a complementary lens: a biomechanics-meets-nervous-system perspective that deepens understanding of why certain movement practices work so profoundly.

"Body Mapping: Reshaping Your Stress Patterns"

In this keynote, Amy guides participants through the core principles of body mapping — not just as a concept to understand, but as a lived experience. You'll explore how stress accumulates in the body, how the nervous system responds to sensory input, and how simple, intentional movement can begin to shift long-held patterns.

This session is especially powerful for educators, parents, and practitioners who work with children and adults navigating stress, anxiety, or learning challenges — because Amy shows that the body is always available as a resource, no matter how entrenched the patterns feel.

What This Keynote Explores

🧠

The Brain's Body Map

How the brain builds and updates its internal map of the body — and what happens when that map becomes distorted by stress, pain, or lack of sensory input.

🌊

Stress in the Body

How chronic sympathetic activation shapes posture, movement, and wellbeing — and how sensory-informed movement can shift the nervous system toward greater regulation.

🔄

Movement as Regulation

The Fajardo Method as a practical, accessible framework for helping people — children and adults alike — move out of stress patterns and into greater ease.
